Self Investment
Self Investment, What does Self Investment mean to you? Imagine working 40 hours a week with only 2 days out the week for yourself. You spent 40 hours of your Life investing in another man's dreams, and one day you might not be what the company needs anymore, you become another example.
Self Investment is Finding a passion or hobbit that you love and can make a living out of. It is investing in your dreams, and Believing in your self. You work 5 days out of the week, maybe more. Your whole day is dedicated to making someone else dreams flourish. When you get off you’ll have to either; go to school, take care of your kids, cook dinner, or too tired to do anything. On your days off, you’ll rather sit around to rest until the next work week start or go out with friends. You could invest so much of your time and be the best employee the company has ever seen, but you’re still considered as another employee, a disposable person. That could be fired at the drop of a dime.
Now what? All those years wasted and what do you get at the end? Experience? Self Investment, to me, is dedicating your free time to things you like to do. Something that could make you the boss and earn you income. It is also something that could make you a better you.
Is making what you make now worth an hour of your time? Know your worth and what you’re capable of producing. I read a quote somewhere that said “Never work 8+ hours for someone else and not utilize hours for yourself. We all have the same 24 hours, use it wisely”
